I am a self-taught artist who explores the possibilities of the written stroke as a purely expressive and gestural element.
 
The letter and the word, the highest and defining achievement of the human soul, are stripped of any literality, assuming the capacity to feel and express emotions and feelings through abstract concepts.

Calligraphy, in its purest essence, thus transcends the mere act of writing, and strokes become brushstrokes. Reading becomes eminently visual, totally free of semantic rules and ties, and is nourished by the universality of gesture and abstraction.

And so, by eliminating recognisable representation, I do not seek to describe but to evoke, appealing to the internal perception of the spectator, who identifies the written stroke but feels compelled to give it new meanings.

Gestural calligraphy is abstract art. In the communion of both, the act of creation is freed from the bonds of recognisable form and becomes a ritual of emotion and sensations. A marriage that not only suggests a different visual semantics. It is to invite the spectator to a profound meditation on the aesthetic perception to which he is accustomed.

Soy un autodidacta convencido que explora en su obra las posibilidades del trazo escrito como elemento puramente expresivo y gestual.

La letra y la palabra, logro máximo y definitorio del alma humana, son despojadas de cualquier literalidad, asumiendo la capacidad de sentir y expresar emociones y sentimientos a través de conceptos abstractos.

La caligrafía, en su esencia más pura, trasciende así el mero acto de escribir, y los trazos se convierten en pinceladas. La lectura pasa a ser eminentemente visual, libre totalmente de normas y ataduras semánticas, y se nutre de la universalidad del gesto y la abstracción.

Y así, al eliminar la representación reconocible, no busco describir sino evocar, apelando a la percepción interna del espectador, que identifica el trazo escrito pero se siente impelido a otorgarle nuevos significados.

​La caligrafía gestual es arte abstracto. En la comunión de ambos, el acto de la creación se libera de las ataduras de la forma reconocible y se erige como un ritual de emoción y sensaciones. Un maridaje que no sólo sugiere una semántica visual diferente. Es invitar al espectador a una meditación profunda sobre la percepción estética a la que está habituado.
